Full Stack Video Production

From conception to the final render.

My biggest challenge while making this video was matching the footage from two different cameras.

I wanted two angles to give me some freedom while editing. The footage had to be carefully colour corrected to make it look as seamless as possible.

You can still sort of tell.

This is my 'Silent Film,' the big final project for the first year media production course. I produced the music myself in Garage Band.

That was my girlfriend at the end. She would always give me my best ideas, so I decided to marry her.

The assignment was to make a video that was edited to a musical beat. I needed to cook dinner the night before it was due, so I did both at once.

The music is from the 2004 video game Spider-Man 2 for the GameCube—specifically the pizza delivery minigame. That tune is permanently embedded into my brain.

Video Editing

Give me the footage, I'll do the rest.

In 2017, Adobe held a contest to promote Premiere Pro on it's 25th anniversary. In partnership with Imagine Dragons, they released all the raw footage from the music video shoot and invited fans to make their own cut.

We got access to that footage for this assignment, tasked with editing it all together. Our instructor warned us it'd be tedious, we'd hate the song by the end.

Not my experience. I had a bast with this.

The Great Train Robbery (1903) was a triumph of its time, but doesn't hold up in 2025. We were tasked with cutting it down from ten minutes to two minutes or less, without losing the plot.

Easy. I even had room for an extended dance sequence. I was real happy with this one.

That's another original Garage Band production in the first ten seconds—after it's a song from the movie Pearl (2022).

Audio Production

Dreams of professionally yapping

My Dog Burger

This wasn’t even an assignment—just a class excersize to demonstrate the power a bit of music can have. It’s still one of my favourite bits of audio I’ve made. The royalty-free music just works!

Podcast Review

Pick a podcast and review it, as a podcast. I listen to a lot of podcasts so this was a fun one for me. I'm a bit of a podcast snob, really.

Lacoste Radio Ad

A real ad I wrote during my work placement at Pattison Media. It played on ALT 94.3. That's the legendary Jim Van Dusen as Santa.

Appalachian Trail Audio Essay

The idea here was to make a John Green-style audio essay on a topic of our choice. Cutting this one down to meet the assignment specs was painful—it could have been twice as long.

Toad Hall Toys Radio Ad

This is two assignments in one. I wrote the script my first year, my first assignment in CreComm actually, and I produced it my second year.

Work n Play Radio Ad

Another real ad. I didn't write this one, but that's my voice. I love doing voice work.
